To meet Sanele is to know an indomitable spirit – a true-hearted South African.
And an awesome dad to his son, Mnotho. Every day, Sanele faithfully walks Mnotho to preschool, sometimes buying him a small snack en route when he can. Reliability and small gestures of love mean the world to his little boy.
Kindness is fundamental to humanity, as is fatherhood to early childhood development.
Sanele’s story is of empowerment, persistence, and promise. With your generosity, support ECD through Project Hope’s monthly Strength Package, you can help more fathers and sons flourish.

Project Hope’s mission is to provide holistic support to vulnerable children in KZN. We started in 2020, in the Valley of 1000 Hills. Our backyard.
Most of our generous sponsors are local mums and dads who understand how vital quality education is in a child’s first five years of life.
Our NPC (PBO) encourages partnerships and seeks to expand our international support.

Sanele completes Project Hope’s Caregiver Course
Back to Sanele, a 38-year-old dad on a mission to provide more for his family. He literally begged us to find him funds to attend our six-week Caregiver Support program. By some miracle, we managed.
His beaming smile is infectious. Holding his certificate of completion, he shared with us his renewed purpose as a role model for his family.
Inspiring, from a man whose life is far from easy. Finding work has been a challenge. But despite the hardships, Sanele’s spirit is steady, and his heart is full of love for his children.
This year, Sanele committed to helping out at Mnotho’s school once a week. He keeps the playground clean and has a real talent for growing cabbage.
A Mr. Fixit, he also enjoys tackling handyman tasks whenever something needs fixing at the school. Dedicated to a life of service, he even helps his neighbours by washing their clothes, when he has time.
Sanele is passionate about planting his own vegetable garden at home.
Cabbages and spinach are healthy staples and much-needed food security for the seven boys he is raising, the youngest only three months old.
Help give a child a promising future.
